Recycling & Waste Disposal
Recycling
Recycling has many environmental benefits and is one of the simplest ways we can reduce the level of waste going to land fill each year, save resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The contents of your recycling bin are a potential VALUABLE RESOURCE and can easily be contaminated by putting non-recyclable items such as plastic wrap or food waste in with the common recyclables.
What can be put in your recycling bin?
Residents living in the:
- City of Armadale
- City of Gosnells
- City of Mandurah
- Shire of Murray
- Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale
- City of South Perth
Your recycling bins are collected by Cleanaway. Visit Cleanaway to find out what items can be put in your recycling bin.
If you are unsure what can be put in your recycling bin, contact the Waste Services Officer at your local council.

Green Waste
Most Member Councils conduct two green waste collections each year and the waste is reprocessed into mulch for use on local parks and gardens or on-sold. Click on the link to your Council above to find more details of collections in your area.
