Policy positions assist the Regional Council's day- to-day operations and provide a consistent basis for decision-making. The Regional Council has adopted a number of policies, some of which are statutory requirements. While Council is not bound by non-statutory policies, it endeavours to adhere to those policies which have been adopted as a matter of best practice. Policies are reviewed regularly and additional policies developed as the need is identified. The current Policy Manual may be viewed here.
